On 5 last September, SMA 110 the arrival of the Kompas MuDa team in a series of events “School Forest”. This event is a collaboration between Kompas MuDA and BRI Peduli and has been taking place since last May, around to 27 study in 9 city in Indonesia. At State High School 110 North Jakarta, a lot 100 students plant trees in the field next to the school. Even though it was hot yesterday morning it was quite hot, The students are still enthusiastic about planting trees. With the number 100 the trees they planted, It is hoped that the school environment will become greener.
Apart from planting trees, The students also signed their names on the School Forest banner. The signature is proof of their commitment to caring for the tree. The trees planted include mangoes, guava, and acacia. Of course, we can't see the results of planting trees in the near future. Only then can we enjoy the benefits of the existence of these trees 5-10 another year. Head of State High School 110 North Jakarta Suharsono said, It is hoped that planting trees on school land will be a breath of green for dry North Jakarta. "The greenness of the city of Jakarta depends on us. At this school, many children play because the place is relatively large. That's why, We want to make this school environment always comfortable and calm,” said Suharsono.
After planting trees, The series of events continued with an environmental themed workshop. Head of the Jakarta Green Map Socialization Division, Bayu Wardhana, said that it is important to plant trees to extend the life of the Earth. "Especially, in North Jakarta which often experiences water crises, even sea water has entered the land. Our ground water has been depleted by humans. Sadly, Humans do not want to replace the groundwater they consume,said Bayu. That's what it's for, continued Bayu, Planting trees can produce more groundwater. "Just imagine if we don't plant trees from now on, Certainly natural conditions will get worse in the future,he said.
