Meaning 17 August is to remember how this country was able to rise from the oppression of colonialism to become a country that has its own sovereignty. In addition to remembering the services of the heroes who fought in the past, celebration 17 August can also be a form of gratitude and thanksgiving to the Almighty God.

We have indeed escaped physical colonialism, but actually not yet completely independent. We are still dependent on the economic strength of other countries and have a weak foreign policy policy in the eyes of other countries. A great nation is a nation that recognizes its weaknesses and evaluates them.

Therefore, we are the next generation of the nation, bear the responsibility to build a better Indonesia, proceed, and sovereign. Of course, this would not be possible without a high sense of solidarity between people, without distinction of religion, ethnic group, and economics. This country is independent and fighting because there is a sense of unity.
