High school upper state (PUBLIC HIGH SCHOOL) 110 Jakarta officially launched a zero waste school program on Friday, date 24 April 2026. This activity is the first step in efforts to create a clean school environment, Healthy, and sustainable. Head of SMAN 110 Jakarta, Sriyono, M.Pd., M.Si., M.A., explained that this program aims to minimize or even eliminate waste in the school environment, especially plastic waste and waste produced by school residents.

"Launching this zero-waste school, it is hoped that in the future there will be no more waste in schools. Waste from products brought by students, guru, and employees—if forced to be taken from home—must be taken back out or sent home,he said. He also added that organic waste such as leaves will be managed through a composting process. Meanwhile, Waste that has not been managed will be handled by the Environmental Service.

This program is part of efforts to reorganize the school environment, especially in the aspects of cleanliness and beauty. As a school that has achieved the Adiwiyata Mandiri predicate, PUBLIC HIGH SCHOOL 110 Jakarta is committed to continuing to maintain environmental quality. “A clean and comfortable environment will support student achievement, both academic and non-academic. This is a good start, although it's not easy, but with optimism and cooperation, This program can be realized in stages,added Sriyono.

On the same occasion, Umaryadi as Head of the High School Institutional Section of the DKI Jakarta Provincial Education Service expressed his appreciation for this initiative. He also hopes that this program will not only stop at the launching stage, but it is actually implemented so that it becomes a culture in the school environment. he said.
